The second of the animations
Category: Uncategorized
The first of the animations I’ve been working on this week
Managed to play around with the tracks in Adobe and combined the robotic and human voices, would love to get more proficient at the editing
More process shots, I feel like this collage has finally found a direction.
—> I want to put textile and abstract patters below the landscape, for the floor of the furniture. Going to ask tutor tomorrow
Martin Creed’s Tate artist room at the Harris Museum, I like how he antagonises reporters who ask him whether he makes ‘real’ art. Wish I’d got a photo of his felt tip drawings though, they were really good

This banner for the Preston Guild is something I really like looking at. A political textile statement, through which the guild conveys its power and status. Something I’d like to come back to later in the term, or possibly for next term
Some of the glass and stone Victorian bottles and ornaments we saw at the Harris museum in Preston. I found these tiny, intricate bottles fascinating; the Victorians were obsessed with appearances, everyone and everything had to be presented in a certain manner. They turned such mundane things like bottles into status symbols.

Another one of my collages, a surreal country estate
Ulu Braun, Cadavres Exquis Vivants, 2007-ongoing –> Livingstone
A series of video-collage portraits, quite relevant to my project and an interesting style —> surreal, dark at times
